AJ Lee

News and Events:

Mother Jones Magazine writes, "Could This Kid Be the Next Alison Krauss?"

"Wherever AJ Lee performs, audiences are shocked by her supermodel looks, her techinically perfect vocals, and her mature onstage professionalism. I, too, was completely blown away by the talented young singer." (Californiality, #1 California News Blog)

When AJ was 7, she was invited to share the Fanfest stage at the IBMA's World of Music event in Nashville. Since then, she has participated every year to include a showcase with the Tuttle Family this September.

At 10, AJ sang the National Anthem at O'Reilly Raceway in Indianapolis for live SPEED televised event and a bustling crowd of 40,000 attendees. When asked later what she thought about the races, she candidly replied, "Well, I don't know. The trucks just keep going around and around the track."

When she was 11, she and her band mate Max Schwartz were asked to be part of the revision for the Discover Bluegrass DVD that is circulated by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA).  This Exploring American Roots Music project was developed for educational use only in schools, associations, libraries and with home schooling families.

By the time AJ (Aissa phonetically 'eye-ee-saa') was 12, she was actively involved in 2 working bands in the California bluegrass scene. Her hard work with these bands eventually brought her honored awards from the members of the Northern California Bluegrass Society. She was voted female vocalist of the year for two consecutive years.
